Oysters

Aphrodisiacs and favourite of rock star 'Sting' our oysters come freshly delivered from the remote and rugged waters off Holy Island. It is said that in the late 1300s, when the monks of Lindisfarne Priory paid 100 shillings to a Scotsman for a boat whose ballast was full of the shellfish, and established the first oyster farm on the site. Holy Island boasts the only oyster beds on the Northumberland coast until you reach Norfolk. Serve ice cold with a squeeze of lemon and Tabasco over ice.  We can provide a lover's pack which includes 6 or 12 fresh creamy oysters,shucking knife and fresh lemon also a miniature bottle of tobasco sauce for a perfect complete gift.
